I have it all cut out and patched now, it will last the next 3-4 years until I get another truck lol.

The sad thing is that I have a rust free standard cab literally laying in my yard...
A little late to the party, but the Valley class IV hitch I have, I originally put it on my 89 C1500, and it fit "fine" other than the rear bumper and frame being tweaked. I took it off and bolted it right up to my K2500 with no issues, so maybe there are just some that are different?
They are. The suburban hitches sit higher due to body mount bushings raising the body off the frame in back 2 or three inches. They work well for body lifted trucks with relocated bumpers. The trucks' beds sit right on the frame so the bumpers sit lower and the hitches do too.
