Only Ontario, Quebec & the Maritimes sells milk in bags.
They tried that here in the west years ago. 1967-ish to the about mid-80's.

It was all to do with Canada switching over to this euro-c0mmi3 metric B.S. in '75.
"Do you know what the speed limit is along here, kid?"
"Yes Sir Officer Sir! 62.13 miles per hour, Sir!"
"It's 100 kilometers per hour."
"You heard me. Sir!"
Screw the system. Fight the power.

Ontario actually has a regulation that restricts the sale of milk in containers larger than a pint (473ml) to either 'plastic film pouches' (bags) or plastic laminated cartons. (Tetrapaks)

The original 'Tetrapacks'.
I remember getting these in the school-supplied lunches.
Triangular dribble pouches.
Peel back the tab in the center of one side to expose a 1/4" round hole. Without squeezing the damn thing & squirting the contents all over you or the person across from you. Usually both of ya got it.
Do you see a straw? No.
Wrap yer lips over the hole & either squeeze or suck out whatever moo juice was left after the opening ceremony.
At least mammalian protuberances have nipples.
Yeaaa...and the paks were pretty sanitary, too. Every other kid in class, picking, poking, scratching at least one orifice first before reaching into the basket of containers.

This is the kind of nonsensical wrench that the metric system will throw into your life.
As a child, it was traumatic.

How derailed is this thread now?
These evil things! When the carrier ( USS KittyHawk ) ran out fresh milk. They contract ahead of time for supplies when we get to port. Chow time. No milk. Hey git any milk. See them funky tings on ice? Yeah. Enjoy.
It was some kind of soy milk. OMG! It was so nasty. Never ever again. So many left over, they stopped taking them onboard.. :Moon:

Willy G has his head firmly up his a$$ on this. The so called 20w-50 "motorcycle" oil has friction modifiers in it for use in the primary which makes it unsuitable for the engine. It's too heavy for the primary which is why your transmission clunks so hard going into gear from neutral. It's too light for the tranny which is why your tranny clunks so hard when shifting gears. Put any non-motorcycle 20w-50 you prefer in your engine,non-detergent 30w in the primary and 75w-90 in your tranny. These are the oils I run in my bike and it has 85,000 miles on it and the only reason I've ever been into it was to put a six speed kit in the tranny.

Yea, once I saw that "20/50 Harley oil in everything", I switched to AmsOil... formulated for each specific hole.

My old 72 Ironhead still gets cheap straight 50w in the engine since its always getting topped off from puking out the breather, lol, but it gets the good stuff in the primary/trans. My 04's get good stuff everywhere.

How often do you change your oil filter in that anti-seized engine btw?
Haven't yet, probably blowing through the bypass by now. It ain't knocking,,,,,much or smoking,,,,,much and it does have a little oil pressure. I'm gathering the parts for the engine swap,3" exhaust came yesterday and as soon as a couple clocks get picked up I'll order the headers, probably next week. Other than that the only other thing I can think that I'm gonna need is a KS for a 350.

So that's where the "Got Milk" ad campaign came from.

Dude I hope one day it will come to you that the negativity that you are trying to force into my positive advice and truth. Is a short sidedness and a flaw in your character that will do nothing but hinder you from anything good.
and just like that we are over the edge and into philosophical judgements about the character of people that put fluid x or y in their truck. I have NO opinion on this topic. That being said, You stated your opinion, somebody did not take your (Good/Bad/Indifferent) advice, Offered, I am sure, with the best of intentions. Somebody's lived experience or approach to wrenching these machines is different. Move on, this is the nature of offering up your advice - ALL of our dads would probably agree that this is the nature of advice. Your mileage may differ is an expression for a reason.

That old ironhead sporty would like some 20w-50 in it. Normal cylinder head temp for an ironhead engine is 600deg.,the lighter oil will help pull heat from the heads. Do you run a oil cooler? The 30w non-detergent works good in the primary and tranny on those unitized motors. BTW Valvoline is the only 30w non-det. worth buying these days. NAPA 30w non-det. is Valvoline AKA Ashland Oil Co.
