Speaking of bags of milk. Ya had to be there. I'm in VF213, Black Lions, F14 , Tomcats. We were deployed on the USS KittyHawk. Dinner in the chow hall. Have the milk machines , with 5 gallon milk box inside, ya know lift the handle milk gravity feeds. The carrier goes into left turn , heels over a bit, the deck slants a bit. Just as one of the galley guys is lifting new box in the machine. And yep. He loses his balance, .....and OH SHXXT, he drops the box. It slams down on the deck, and a small tidal wave of chocolate milk starts heading our way. It's just a mass scramble to get away. And " oh crap, ya gotta be kidding" . Cause once we left the states, we only had a few choco milk. It was one of the small pleasures. :Big Laugh:

How bout’ them Canadians with their bags of milk?
Only Ontario, Quebec & the Maritimes sells milk in bags.
They tried that here in the west years ago. 1967-ish to the about mid-80's.

It was all to do with Canada switching over to this euro-c0mmi3 metric B.S. in '75.
"Do you know what the speed limit is along here, kid?"
"Yes Sir Officer Sir! 62.13 miles per hour, Sir!"
"It's 100 kilometers per hour."
"You heard me. Sir!"
Screw the system. Fight the power.

Ontario actually has a regulation that restricts the sale of milk in containers larger than a pint (473ml) to either 'plastic film pouches' (bags) or plastic laminated cartons. (Tetrapaks)

The original 'Tetrapacks'.
I remember getting these in the school-supplied lunches.
Triangular dribble pouches.
Peel back the tab in the center of one side to expose a 1/4" round hole. Without squeezing the damn thing & squirting the contents all over you or the person across from you. Usually both of ya got it.
Do you see a straw? No.
Wrap yer lips over the hole & either squeeze or suck out whatever moo juice was left after the opening ceremony.
At least mammalian protuberances have nipples.
Yeaaa...and the paks were pretty sanitary, too. Every other kid in class, picking, poking, scratching at least one orifice first before reaching into the basket of containers.

This is the kind of nonsensical wrench that the metric system will throw into your life.
As a child, it was traumatic.
