Here they are in the daylight. No sun today unfortunately. Maybe some later on. This color rules. Even in this photo you can see the shift from lighter to darker.

And here is the “bad” one.

Edit: just talked to Dan and he has already ordered the powder and I’m taking this back this afternoon. He got to thinking more that it’s possible it’s another impurity in the wheel but he doesn’t want to risk it. More than happy to redo it. Great business to work with. He will definitely get more of my business.

Just took two back to him. One is the wheel we’ve all seen. The other is the one that he said had flaws in the wheel, not from powder. But on that one I did find a powder flaw right on the lip that almost looked like bubbling. Without even asking he just told me to leave them both.

Stand up guy. I know it’s normal to expect this service, but it’s not always received. He does some CNC work and makes signs, too. I think I’ll pick up a sign just to show my appreciation. I know I don’t have to but when you find a great local business it’s important to support them.

Damnit. Either they were cracked before they left or USPS needs to up their game. @someotherguy isn't this how yours cracked?

The first ones I got were cracked at the bottom corners, the plastic is not flexible! Some have mentioned when installing TYC's or some other aftermarket lights to be careful around the edges as they break easily - these are no exception.

Biggest issue with mine is that they were packed very poorly. The clear ones I got survived, but the first set of smoked ones were broken. I think someone (either original mfgr or the people re-selling them) sent them out to be smoked so that may be where they got carelessly re-packed. I mean, neither set was packed well, but the smoked were REALLY not packed well. Even the replacement set they sent me were not packed well. What sucks is the two "smoke" sets don't have the same appearance, and to me, the broken set looks better. :(

The packaging on these was pretty meh. Wrapped in closed cell foam and boxed. But the shipping box is essentially just the box that the lights were put in for inventory, taped together, and shipped.

No word from them yet on replacements.

Hope they take care of you quickly. These guys sent me replacements right away no questions asked (I did send them pics of the box/packing and damage to start the conversation) but when I mentioned the replacement smoked set didn't match the broken ones, they implied that I got the last set and they wouldn't be running anymore smoked. :( The difference is enough that I'm considering attempting to repair the broken ones if I ever decide to install. Broken set in the middle, replacement set on the outside. Note the somewhat greenish tint, and hazy appearance to the outside lenses.
