Got the front half of this fender tacked on today. I’m going to take the fender off before I finish welding it. I need to cut some of the inner fender out for tire clearance. Tomorrow if I have time I will take apart the front suspension and finish welding everything up and getting it ready for some type of frame coating or paint. Any recommendations? I’ve heard por15 is good but pricy.

the VHT epoxy has turned out nice the couple times I’ve used it. I use a bunch of satin black rust oleum professional at work with good results. Actually it’s the ACE hardware house brand version but I assume it’s the same thing.

Por15 is definitely pricey, but it's also pretty brittle. If you plan on thrashing on the truck, and I'm sure you are, I would just hit it with your favorite brand of spraypaint. Easy to touch up.
Didn’t know it was brittle I assumed it was more like a rubberized coating. Good to know.

You can get VHT roll bar and chassis epoxy rattle can paint at O'Reilly's. Or if you want to get fancy Eastwood makes a 2 part satin or semi gloss black frame paint.

Picked me up a set of 1/2”-2” dimple dies today as well as a 17” bead roller. I’ve never used either of those tools so I’ll get some practice in tomorrow before attempting some inner fenders. Also got the frame and brackets finish welded including a large fishplate between the original frame and my new frame just to stiffen everything up and hopefully prevent any potential of cracking.
