Unfortunately i've gotta get the cummins driveable at least before i can start this. even if its not painted yet. I'm hoping if i can get the cummins driveable by summer, i can drive it all summer then get this thing done late summer/fall and have 4x4 by next winter..

I've got the trans, and everything, just a lot of work ahead of me between both projects.

So before I swap this truck to the CCSB frame, I obviously have to finish the Cummins swap in the other truck. Doesn't mean this thing can't get some attention.

I've always been a fan of the red GMC grilles, and since the White truck gets thechrome Chevy front end, figured I'll swap this truck to a GMC.

Going to get it painted red and throw on some factory corners soon.

Already found a red short bed for it as well... going to pick it up in a month or so.

A while back I told a buddy of mine to let me know if he came across a red 88-94 dash as this one is cracked.

Earlier this week he calls me up, says he found a truck that he was going to take the drivers side glass out of. The owner told him he could take anything except the doors and bumpers. Truck had a 93 grille in pretty good shape, and a complete red interior in good shape.

So came home with some free parts.... lots of free parts.

my 93 is a factory Silverado, with PW/PL, and I've always loved the door panels. They match the seats and tie everything together.

This truck was a regular cab, so while I'll still have to find rear door panels, figured I'd throw these on.

The 2K15 tow mirrors also came off, as I will be selling them to fund some GMT800 mirrors. Just don't like the 2K15 mirrors.. they just don't fit in with the otherwise factory looking truck. My 97 had a custom feel to it, but I've grown to like keeping everything looking reasonably close to stock.

Overall I love the door panels, finding some rears might be tricky, but we'll see. I found a set of 4 on ebay for $285 shipped, and while it would've been nice to pull the trigger on them, I just don't have the spare cash laying around at the moment.

Also, that same buddy professionally painted a GMC grille for me. My amateur job on my 97 worked, but the bugs flaked the paint off, so he had this one sprayed professionally.

I'm still a chevy guy at heart, and I love the tailgate banners across the tailgate, so I've kicked the tires on this idea.

Ovbiously just a mockup, I can always put the Chevy grille back on, or swap all of the logos over to GMC ,although I won't be able to use that Chevy tailgate banner if I go that route....

Hmm, I think I need to find some red silverado panels for my truck. I have the ones like you had but the silverado ones look so much nicer!

Wow did you get lucky. Did it happen to have the dash mounted cup holders ? And if it did and you want to sell them how much to ship to 45140 ? I've found some but they were either faded and cracked or broken. Thanks

Nice upgrades!! And you could get an aftermarket grille insert and remove the GMC and install the Bow Tie.

I'm with you. I have been looking for a decent set of blue door panels to upgrade my interior. That and a new bench seat.

Unfortunately that dash didn't have it. My current one does and it's a nice feature, so i'll swap that over when i swap the dash.

That looks like the grill on the Mexico version of a 400.
