That really doesn't sound right. How can the springs be wrong? What is the issue? They don't line up in the spring cup? Wrong height?

length is wrong. They're more like lift springs which is what I'm trying to get away from. Each coil's circumference is wrong. The moog have a MUCH larger circumference than the stock springs and the diameter of the coil spring is too small to fit in the arms properly. I dunno, I got the other old spring from my friend's so I'm taking it to the shop tomorrow and hope I have it by the end of the day.

He said he had a 94 come in and he compared the springs on that truck (1500 5.7 2wd-same as mine) and said they were different from the moog AND the springs on my truck. WTF was GM thinking with this shlt? :suicide:

It might not be a gm thing. Alot of aftermarket parts manufacturers will do whatever they can to save money. The coils are probably a generic measurement. Seems odd none will fit though

I fee like the mechanic is being overly picky but hopefully reusing the old springs will keep the cost down. And hopefully he doesn't charge me for all the time spent trying to figure this bullshit out

And I was talking about having different springs for different years. It would've been w hell of a lot easier to use the same spring for 88-98 trucks

Got it back today. Took it for an alignment, and of course.... **** this thing. They can't get it Aligned. I mean seriously. Why the hell does this **** happen to me. I'm the only person with this lift who is having the trouble that I am. This should not be happening :banghead:

Why can't they align it? Most likely under skilled alignment tech...and only knows newer vehicles.... looked at it and got scared he might have to actually physically turn a rusty nut...lol..
