judging by that fiberglass work im not surprised his truck is in shambles....

It looks like a cardboard box someone ran over, then taped to his dash.

I don't get it, what's so wrong with just a nice amp hidden under the seat and a couple subs? Why do people need 358858454 amps with all these other nick knacks and patty whacks?

And this is coming from an electric guitarist of 6 years, I should be the guy with all the top notch equipment in my truck, but to me, it's a truck, make it loud, look aggressive and fun to drive, and have a good sounding stereo.

you guys are dumbasses if you think back brakes are that important yes i think they need to be replaced as well but its not a life and death situation i have driven the truck for over 4 months with no rear brakes and never had an issue till now there is no noticeable difference the only thing the rear brakes do is keep the rear from wobbling under heavy braking why do you think the part of the res is so small for the rear and also why do you think they only put discs on the front... because that is where the load is im not saying you arent right im saying chill the **** out i will be fine and so will everyone else on the road

and no i wont be driving like that for a year dumbass 6-7 months tops

I don't blame people for thinking about reporting your truck to the police. If it's "No big deal", then WHY DID IT COME WITH REAR BRAKES!?!?! Shoot, GM could've saved a bundle, they should've just left the rear brake system off, that would've made them more profits.

Yes, you use your front brakes more, but if the drums aren't that important, or aren't used that much, then WHY DO THEY WEAR DOWN???? If I lived in your town, I would brake check you, because then I know you're hitting something bigger that weighs more than you. BTW, if you are in an accident, and they see this thread, I think they would have every right to sue you, and hopefully suspend your license.

I tried to help and smooth things over, but you snapped back. Then you go and get pissed about people who are only showing concern for SAFETY. So apparently, mere mortals who are actually afraid of dying or worse, killing someone else, are dumbasses? Well, I'm sorry, I can't just put someone else's safety at risk as easily as you do.

BTW, I had a computer issue in my truck a while back. (You blamed me for not reading your posts, even though I did. Let's see if you read this.) It caused my TPS to think I was on the gas when I wasn't. When I hit the brakes, the engine would surge, and I could feel it fighting the brakes. Sometimes it would run fine, and then would surge at a red light, causing it to jump forward 1-2 ft. even though I was on the brakes. I took it to the mechanic right away. Got it taken care of, because if they computer ever got to the point where it gave my engine WOT, my brakes would not do much, and I would put myself and others in serious danger. It was a pain for him to find, and I had to pay for hours of labor, but guess what, now I have no concerns when driving my truck.

We at GMT400 are primarily concerned with the safety of the others on the road and the safety of our members. If our members could care less about safety, we get pissed and start fighting for the people on the road. That's it, we're only commenting to try to stop an unsafe situation. Get your head out of your ass, brakes are important, ALL OF THEM!!!! Check your attitude at the door, we're trying to help.

I'll say what I said before. Park it, fix it (completely), and keep it safe.

 GMCYUKONDRIVER, thanks for bringing that up about the need for drums.

Late last year, I bought brand new drums, shoes, hardware, had my rotors turned, new calipers and front pads. I went ahead and did all the work, painted the drums and calipers to prevent rust.

Tightened everything up, pumped the brakes before getting out of the garage, then took the truck out of the garage, hit the brakes, to the floor they went. I figured I left a bleeder open, so I backed it up and went over it all again, re bled them, took it out, same ****!

Now I was pissed, thought the master cylinder primary seal was bad, or the booster had a tear or vacuum leak. I even went and checked my drums. Had it towed to the shop, I ran out of patience.

Come to find out, my drums weren't adjusted properly  I felt like a dumbass, being state certified and having to get my truck towed to the shop for something that simple.

Anyways, all it took was poorly adjusted drums, and my pedal went right to the floor, and that was with new calipers, pads and turned rotors. When I got my truck back, you could blow on the brake pedal and it would slow you down

BRAKES ARE IMPORTANT, JUST THE OTHER DAY, IN GRAND RAPIDS MICHIGAN, A CHILD RAN OUT IN FRONT OF A GUYS TRUCK, HE HIT THE CHILD, STOPPED, THE CHILDS DAD CAME OUT AND KNIFED THE DRIVER IN THE BACK SEVERAL TIMES.

Get your fvcking brakes fixed KID.

And for future reference, it's never smart to spend money on mods to the point where you don't have a reserve. I keep a certain amount of cash in my accounts in case I have a major issue come up that I would need fixed right away. It's just a smart idea with older trucks (mine's 16). I definitely have enough to do some stuff that I've wanted to do for a long time, but that would take me lower than I want to be, and I would feel stupid if I had a modded out truck that I couldn't drive because I didn't save some. Better to have a truck that looks ok, and runs great. That's about where I am right now, so now I will start building.

I wasn't sure if it would be cool or not, but I think if there are any FSC members in his area, they should know about this guy.
