Can't beat a Fluke. My 23 has served me well over the years. If you don't wanna spend that kind of money...Klein has a decent line and just introduced 2 new ones Made in the USA. Ideal is made by UEI (not very durable) and Triplett hasn't been worth a damn since they sold out to Jewell Instr.

I use a bk precision.

Great meter, lots of options.

Measures 30 a.

Also does freq, which is good for troubleshooting sensors.

Which BK model do you use? a quick search shows a price range from $80 to $1000.00

388B.

My mistake, it's a 20 A model not a 30.

It's an older model that doesn't auto range, but that's just fine by me.

I've got a Fluke at work, old reliable. I can't remember, maybe a 54? For playing in the garage I have a handful of the cheap meters from Advance/Autozone etc. They are cheap but they work.

I bought a snap on meter. It's model EEDM596D.

It does everything. And it is tendered to automotive so it can read rpm and temperature

Most all can read temperature from what I've seen
