What kind of mileage do you get?

I am averaging about 15 with my lower O2 sensor out. I replaced it but it seems to be a bad one I put in. Going to remedy that this weekend and hope to get 17 MPG out of it after that.

I had a 1993 worktruck 2wd 4.3 and the best I got was 34mpg. I would consistently get over 1000 miles per tank.

I have yet to drive my 96 4x4 w/ 305. What are people getting with their 305 vortec 5 speeds?

I'm calling Best I've ever got with my 4.3 was 21 mpg

You sir have a heavy foot, I get 19-20 with my Vortec 350 and have gotten 22 on occasion

X2 best average I ever got with my S10 with the 4.3 was 23. An that was with headers an efan, flush mount tonneau etc...

Plus 1000 miles on 19 gal is more like 52 mpg...

It's still got a bowtie on the hood! I would rather drive a 2 door Cavi with 150,000k on it for like $800 than pay like $1200 for a civic or an accord with 300,000k on it. Cavi's are the greatest Pieces of crap ever! They're cheap on fuel & insurance (which means you can afford more parts for the truck) you can pick a mint one up with 100k on it for $1000, drive the absolute piss out of it until it blows up at 300k while putting $50 a paycheck aside (and if it hasn't blown up, just put it out of it's misery and crush it) Use the money you put aside + $200 from the scrap yard to go buy another one for $1000 and repeat lol. By the time you're on your 3rd Cavi, you have a built truck & a fuel efficient DD.. lol, seems like im selling myself on this idea more & more every second

You know its funny how the internet is full of people getting 20 mpg with their 4x4 V8's and yet I've never met anyone doing better than 15...
