i'm leaning towards painting it back green.

your plan is what i would have done, but i could never find a nice bed-floor to use.

All the beds I am finding on C-list are too nice to cut up and are in the $300 range. So I am still looking.

I am kicking around a couple different versions of what I want to do with the bed. One version is to do the front half and the wheel tubs and keeping the back stock to have room to set the tank and all of the air management stuff. Second version would be to weld up some square tube and use some sheet metal to cover it up, we'll see!

i like the idea of a trap door in the floor (like bill's) with smoothed sheet metal... but i'm told it adds a lot of weight (or can).

Seeing it cut up makes me wanna :puke:
But, in the end.. whichever way you finish it.. :leghump:
Its gonna be SeXxXy

i almost :puke: when i saw the pics of the paint ground off.. hehe i'm leaning towards repainting the inside.. time will tell.

Your gonna have a big gap behind the tailgate when its open, just do something there.. Wont add much weight, maybe 20-40 lbs depending on how beefy you make something.. Ya know what would be extremely sick! make a drawer that pulls out onto the tailgate! ....why couldnt i of thought of that with mine :nono:

Or just cut a square in the bed floor wherever you want, remove that piece, drill out any spot welds if any on that piece that hold (if any) section of floor brace.. Build a simple square frame from 1x1 to secure the lip of the floor cut out for the remaining floor, then one for the cut out piece, and just weld or bolt on some hinges, throw some tabs in the corners for it to rest on or make a lip for it to rest on.. if you want it for storage just build a box and attach it to the 1x1 that at the remaining floor.. idunno..lol just tossing ideas at ya bro! :)

i'm undecided between a blank filler panel and a functioning hidden storage panel... hehe
