I'm out of ideas, guys. (Truck runs like crap no matter what I do).

Ok, I'm just going to bow out gracefully and say:

and (sincerely) wish you the best of luck with finding your problem.

Cheers.

i think you should just stop...start at your beginning...youcould have multiple problems at this point...you did a tune up and a couple month later ..it ran like s__t...takr out the plugs and check them...see if they are the right ones and burning correctly...if not replace or clean them...take the cap back off and check all the bolts on the ignition module you replaced...also grab the rotor and make sure it doesnot have much play in it...look inside the cap for crap ...while the plugs are out, check #1 compression stoke and referance the #1 plug position...make sure to install your wires in the right firing order....you also said you put a pump in...did you replace the 20 year old rubber line connected to the fuel tank and are you sure you didn't bend the return line by accident....i alway try to start ayt he beginning when everything seem to get out of hand...it usaully some thing stupid....

I didn't put in a pump, I checked the fuel pressure, 12psi at the filter. I need to check the gap on the plugs, but none of them look too dirty or worn. No oil, and not saturated in gas.

If you dont go to the dealer, a shop can give you a free estimate on whats wrong. Then you say thank you I cant afford that and go fix it yourself.

Probably, but I'm a dumb, stubborn teenager.

You said it, not me. You've got twenty pages here of ideas an things to check an on almost every one of them you've said is fine/not the problem. It's hard enough to try an troubleshoot over the internet, but this has turned impossible.

You've mentioned multiple times you think the tcc solenoid is bad, but you've yet to change it an are still looking at other things. Change it!!!!!!!!!

If that don't fix it do yourself a favor an let someone else look at it. Your more than likely overlooking something simple....

The reason I haven't changed the TCC solenoid in an effort to fix the problem is because I haven't had the money or time to replace the pan gasket, fluid, and solenoid. I realize I've spent more money than all that, but it was all allocated strategically. I also realize that sounds stupid, but the way I work, I will fix something as soon as time and funds permit. Last week I only had one day off at work, and was pretty broke. Even if i did pick up a solenoid, fluid, and gasket, I was too busy to replace it. I have (basically) two jobs and school to juggle. And I have had other people look at it, including my Auto Tech teacher who owned his own shop and was a mechanic all his life. He, just like all of you who have tried helping me, was stumped.

Look at it this way, I throw new parts on **** because I know they are new, and I'm just knocking more and more off the list of possible list of stuff that is FUBAR. We all have reasons for everything. You prefer someone you don't know, and could give less of a rats ass about your truck to diagnose your problems, fine by me. I do everything myself in my driveway with hand tools (most of the time).

I'm not being an ass here, Paul, I do appreciate the advice, but I'm trying to solve this myself. Call it giving myself experience. And if it DOES come to that point of taking in to a shop to get her fixed, you'll be the first person I thank.

EDIT: Re-reading this, I guess I am a dumb, stubborn teenager

OK cool, an just to clarify no one works on my truck/vehicles but me except for a few things for which I don't have the proper tools, like alignments, mounting and balancing tires and some exhaust work (bending tubing and welding). Oh an painting if I want it to look decent

But when I'm stumped/aggravated I'm not above letting someone else have a crack at it. That was my point. Sometimes your just too close to the problem to see it. Plus you confuse me talking about how bad it runs in this thread but then how awesome it is other places on the board. good luck with your issue(s)
