ok so correct me if I'm wrong, looks as if outaline is using rear spring hangers from the rear of an oobs, on the rear of his front springs, and then dirtridin is using front spring hangers from an oobs on the rear of his.

So basically any oobs hanger works front or rear from the backend and works on the back end of the front springs.

Then stock front spring hangers from an oobs from the front end, works fine on these, as well as being paired to some stock 52 inch or lifted rear springs from an oobs up front on our trucks.

Sounds good, now I need some junkyards lol.

Also seems like with this, you are left with 2 options, a ford diff. retain the 241 t-case which is DS drop, or get the 241 PS drop oobs t-case with vss, then use a chevy axle up front. I like th eidea of sticking to chevy, but you must custom fab a crossmember to make the PS drop case work, and I aint sure if you mod the DS drop crossmember any if you use the DS drop case or not?

Also for brakes if you run a ford axle do you use ford calipers or chevy?

steering of course, nothin but hi steer/crossover right?

I ask because I don't have much fab skills and welding and such and was looking for the best and most bolt on setups. I aint afraid to grind or cut anything but welding things back up and such I'm not so great with yet, and have very low budget as well, so stock old parts help big time.

So outalne, With you having a big block and now running tractor tires. Have these mounts failed you in anyway? Don't get me wrong I don't have a big block, as of now or plan on running tractor tires, as of now lol, but just curious as to how they hold up. Also it is clean and clear as to how Dirtridinz71 mounted his bumper, being as the horns are still open, but how did you do yours? and did you eventually cut your factory front lca mount/hangers off or is it still on their?

the 47" 73-87 front spring is a better choice unless you want really flexy, the 52's put the front hanger way out over the frame where as the 47's keep you mounted to the frame itself

there is another gm part option, my original 94 sas used all 73-87 front hangers, i had to use a bracket from a 5th wheel that was like c-channel with extra bends that could bolt/weld to the frame(3/4" spacer needed on one end opposite of bend in frame) and was able to use the 2 bar shackles from a 73-87
You must be registered for see images attach

you must use a track bar or the crossover steering will break the bars eventually

i use chevy brakes to run the 15" wheels. fords calipers are too big for 15's

no failure or even any hint of stressing of the factory hangers, i did tear off the track bar mount from the frame and took a chunk of frame with it when i hit a stump hard night wheeling but it got welded back on and then more steel added to tie it back to the motor mount so now the motor and mounts will have to break loose next time if that decides to want to fail, a track bar helps a ton in keeping things in check and is a must with crossover steering, my bumper is only held on by the outer mounts, eventually i plan on making a road armor style bumper. my control arm mounts are all still in place, only thing removed was the pass side diff hanger got cut for clearance

47's is what i recommend , the 9.5 rear will be just fine, no need to swap to the 10.5 and loose way too much ground clearance.

yes as long as you use spicer non greaseable joints in the axle shafts, i ran a 74 f100 dana 44 in my 94, if you ever plan on bigger than 35's then now would be the time to just go with a 60 from the start

I got another question, when using the stock gm rearend front spring hanger, could you use a stock gmt400 one to use on the rear of the front springs, instead of one from a squarebody? they look the same to me mostly, just on our trucks they sit sideways instead of straight up and down.
