Or you can easily make some spacers with MDF and a jigsaw.

I have some 6x9 speakers in boxes and at one time I was thinking of disconnecting the 4x6 speakers and mounting the speakers on the panels where 4x6 speakers are first screw in boxes to panels then install speakers it's super easy you could even cut a hole the back of boxes to get a deeper sound just a idea.

Ebay has this Roto-Zip dealy for $19.99 a tool like that would make it easy to cut into where you 4x6 speakers are oh the brand isn't Roto-Zip but it's new and does the same thing. EBAY .Item number: 120875984549

So I did the conversion today. With all the right tools it actually doesn't take long and isn't too difficult. I used a dremmel with a high speed cutter on the plastic and for the metal I used an air power recipricating saw (about the size of a cordless phone including the fine metal blade). Traced the hole on the panel just like the link T Dog posted and was done in about an hour and a half. I used longer screws so they would reach the sheet metal instead of just the plastic. I'll post the pics up in the morning

I just went out and measured my ex cab with a third door and the biggest I'll be able to fit on that side would be a 5x7 or 5x8...still worth it though I think

I was looking at my '98 yesterday and I don't think I have as much room as the one in the link. Does anyone know what year that truck is?
