I’ve actually have a design that I’ve been 3D printing that takes the place of the CD case holder in your center console. The good thing about the location is it doesn’t impede the already bad flowing ACs on these trucks. I make mine out of UV resistant high temp plastic. I’ve hadn’t worked on it in a bit because I broke my arm but I was working on finding a way to lower the cost on it before all this happened.
I’ll post some pictures when I get a chance, i still have a few on hand that I’d be willing to sell.
Well crap, that's actually very similar to what I made. I made mine specifically designed around a large yeti and created clips that replicate the clips that came factory. I'll get some pictures soon.Is it a replica of the factory part for the '95+ (non-Escalade/Denali) center consoles? I don't need one, just curious. Cool project either way!
That factory GM '95+ center console cup holder insert has been discontinued for quite a while, but there is one reproduction available on Amazon if anyone's looking.

That console has a key lock on it, looks good! Did not know that was available. Here's my two cents.. Find two good captains chairs and install a NBS center console. Tons of storage and two amazing cupholders, plus a good fold down cup holder on the back side.

I usually see the cup holder in the yards here, if the console is still in the truck. Found a CD holder last trip, was kinda surprised to see it. Brought it home and it's in the parts pile now.I was wondering... What you were describing sounded exactly like a factory part.
Pretty sure all the '95+ center console trucks came with both the cup holder and CD holder inserts when they were new, but for some reason it seems like you see the cup holders less than you do the CD holders in salvage yards. At least around here.
Ebay. There's consoles for days on there. I paid $120. Finding captains chairs should be pretty easy. It doesnt take much modification to make the NBS console fit. I recommend getting the mounting plate for it too. Makes for less fabrication. That console has a key lock on it, looks good! Did not know that was available.
Yup. I will look next time I get to the yard, they have several 800 series trucks out there. Thanks!Ebay. There's consoles for days on there. I paid $120.
