School cop and My pipes experience yesterday

i went through a road block last night in my ford.

Cop-"Sir, your truck is slightly loud"
Me- "Yea, its an older truck, exhaust is a little worn out"
Cop- "Does this thing have a cam, Sounds Healthy"
Me- "Yup!, not sure what bought it like this"
Cop- "Well, i should let you go"
Me- "Have a safe night sir"

I believe the last time I got pulled over for that reason was taking off from the intersection and passing the elementary school. Biker cop lol.

Cop-"ya got any mufflers on here?"
Me-"yup"
Cop-*peers under truck*"i dont see any."
Me-"they're inserts"*pulls out paperwork stating 3db under maximum allowed noise, tested by dmv*
Cop-"I'm gonna call this number listed"
Me-"go for it"
minute or 2 passes
Cop-"i couldn't get ahold to anybody"
Me-"maybe they're all at shipleys for lunch"
Cop-"hahahaha, get outta here and try not to make your truck sound like it's speeding when you're creeping anymore"
Me-"hell, why else would i have straight pipes?"
....followed by another 10min worth of bullshit talking on the side of the road.

^He never connected the dots between straight pipes and inserts....2 opposite beings.

told her that my truck downshifted beside him going up a hill hit a higher rpm making my pipes louder and she totally bought it hahahahah

Haven't been in this thread in awhile. I'd like to add that we all are and/or were teenagers at one point. Personally, i only drive like an ass when I'm mad. Other than that, i drifted moms Sebring once or twice with the e-brake (one of which while she was IN the car), and have done a few half-donuts in the Sierra. Also did a full 2 donuts in the middle of city park while i was under supervision of my JROTC instructor at a weekend activity. He just looked on and laughed.

Got over that **** when i noticed my back tires were wearing away "slightly" faster than my front. Nowadays in our 400's, you either have fun and pay $$$ for it, or something breaks .

I think the people with common sense don't get the attention that the aholes w/o it do. Common sense is still out there just being trumped.

I was always a fast driver. but everyone learned their lesson around school when a classmate disintegrated his car, his body and a friends body after hitting a tree.

If someone was driving like a ****** and hit me, the cops getting there would be their last worry. One thing if you hit me and its an accident, another completely different thing if your driving like NASCAR driver/fast&furious.
