The hoods are no different.

I thought so too.
The 98 hood and grill I have on my 92 sticks out in the middle where the hood meets the grill more than the 92 hood and grill I replaced.

sure all the parts books say 88-98 thats bullcrap.
you just compair an 92 and see how flat the nose is compaired to a 98.
droppedasachild you have those years 91 and 99 check it out.

Did you change the bumper brackets and filler panels when you switched to the 98 grille? And did you adjust and shime the hood ?

Yeah, there's more than enough adjustment in the hood to to fix that...but wouldn't your fender lines be off then too? I took a cowl hood off a '98 and put it on my '92 RCSB I had, lined up perfect.

I replaced the three piece bumper filler. I have yet to change the bumper brackets, but the way the repo grill fits I'm not going to worry about it till spring when I replace the core support, smooth bumper, and the GM GMC grill.
I adjusted the hood the fit the fenders.
I have two 88-92 hoods and two 96-98 hoods I guess I'll have the take pics.

See how my hood and grill come to more of a point than your truck Chris
