Ticking sound under the driver door

Greeeat.. I don't think I have a smog check for another year so I have some time. Will it cause any problems running it until it's useless?

I'll take another listen for the tick tomorrow. I couldn't see any noticeable holes in the pipe or muffler.

98 model? ehhhh, usually when the cat gets bad, the engine light will come on. Unless ur post-cat sensors arent doing their job.

Any way I can check if they are? I'm losing sleep over the thought of paying 600 for a new cat lol.
