shift indicator cable

can someone post a pic of where the shift indicator cable attaches to the steering column. thanks

Pretty simple if it's the old interior, it's a piece on your column. Look on the bottom of your column and move the shifter. You'll see it move with it. That's the best it can explain it. I'll post a pic later if you can't find it.

its a 1993 and i check under the steering column when i get off. thanks

There's a little double-line indentation on the collar that rotates. You wrap the cable around it clockwise then slip the clip on, and adjust the clip side to side until it's in the right place. Since the truck will spend most of its operating time in (D) then get it correct there and then cycle it through all the rest to see that it pretty well matches up.
