I was curious if anyone has tried or has succesfully installed factory flares on their stepside bed. I want to put flares, but don't want to spend $300+ on special ones. Wonder if I can use factory ones- I plan to take the side moulding off my bed and doors etc, and I want to bedline over the silver on my truck.

There was no factory flare for a GMT400 stepside rear fender, This is due to the shape of the where the steps and fenders come together.

I have seen in the past someone modify a OEM set and use them on a stepside, I don't know if they were finished completely or if they held up or not.

I was bummed out to see that the REAR bushwacker fender flares for this were $200 - so $400 for a set? Yikes. Anyone out there have factory flares they wanna sell cheap? I'll take a chance for $50 or so, but not $400
