Map are a cause of alot of problems....check to see if yours is dirty....only clean with map sensor cleaner anything else will wreck the sensor....and then check the wiring to the sensor.....i found on my 98 the pins in the connector were green and one pushed out abit......its worth a look to aleast eliminate it as a problem

You sure your sensor is wired up correctly? Maybe you have an electrical issue further up the wire and what you're messing with won't change that.
