454 marine engine into a vortex 454 truck?
Ok, so long story short, can’t find a vortex 454 (96+) straight out of a truck to swap into mine (2000 K2500 454). However, lots of older boats, and marine 454’s. If I can find a Gen 6 marine 454, I believe all I would need to swap over is: front accessories, intake, fueling, exhaust manifolds...- 00CrewCab

Gen 6 454 Questions
Ok, so my 2000 K2500 454 has spun a main and or rod bearing. Don’t have the tools to do a rebuild. Found lots of Gen 5 454 motors for 600-1200 but can’t find any Gen 6 around me. LOUD rattle when engine starts
Hello, I’ve came here as a last resort because I’ve tried everything I originally planned on doing plug wires, spark plugs, and a cap and rotor as regular maintenance All was well until I went to fire it up again. .GEN 6 454 VORTEC!!!!
Anybody running Gen 6 454 blocks with carb or TBI and not using the gen 6 fuel injection...plan on installing gen 6 454 in at 92 GMC but not running about run carb really want the block for it's factory hydraulic-roller block...it seam to work just use different intake manifold Another...- dAT OBS
