    Would like advice/info on engine swap

    Hi, I currently have a 92 c1500 with a 305 TBI, 700r4 combination. The 305 is feeling pretty weak and i've been researching new engines. I thought about rebuilding the 305 but id rather drive the truck up until a new engine is ready and it just doesn't seem worth it in the long run and resale...

    so i have a 1994 suburban with a stock 5.7l gas v8 (automatic trans) that has 345,000 miles, could i swap it for something like a bmw v12 or a diesel? what transmission could be used?

    DISCLAIMER: I've previously stated the truck came with a 502 Ram-Jet. This was a newbie mistake of me and it's an Accel DFI not a Ram-Jet.
