You guys can't really see it, but on the cell phone is a picture of Hank Williams Sr, who was blasting through a Bluetooth speaker while we were working on the truck. :)

Success. All the taillights, brake lights, and turn signals are working in the back. Even got the license lights working. Got the taillight harness re-grounded to G400. Besides the white wire for the trailer module, there was a small 6" 18 ga wire with an eyelet connected to G400, which was...

Started right up this morning and got it into the garage. Shooting wires on the backend which has no lights at all. I believe I found G400 but the only ground to it was the trailer plug module shown in my previous photo, which had all wires disconnected from it but the ground at G400 Still...

Great Stuff Road Trip. Thanks. Earlier, after the photo above, I was poking around by the battery, and on the negative battery cable, found a split off wire from the negative cable which connected to a brace under the hood which was frayed with some of the strands broken. I just got down...

Went out to move the truck to the driveway and found it now totally dead. I put a battery in it 3 days before I changed out the rear taillight assemblies. So first I need to figure out what is killing the battery. Joy...

We were actually in the 60s yesterday and the day before, but cooled off today. Tomorrow it is heading back up in the 50s, and someone rumored maybe reach 70 this week. Weather is crazy everywhere lately. I really liked the Gulf Coast, Tampa, St Pete, Clearwater. I guess it is because i like...

If it wasn't for AGE troops, us pointy heads couldn't do any decent troubleshooting... Hard to test systems without a -60 or c10 unit... :)

Thanks! Well the weather has been great here in Iowa lately, but the pic is from when I was in Georgia, probably about 2017, so the truck was a bit younger then. I need to do a lot of cleanup work on her now.. but she is still running good.

Hey Rich, Thanks for the welcome. How is it going down in the Sunshine State? I went to high school in Jacksonville, and was out in Ft Walton Beach for about two years before going overseas and getting stationed right back in Florida at MacDill in Tampa. I was there from 85-91. Really liked...

Hey Sewlow! Thanks for the greeting! I am glad to say I never had to sit and do that kind of rummaging through wires like that, but I had my share of wiring harness troubleshooting. Unfortunately it was quite awhile ago, so getting back into it that deep will take some doing. I am a computer...

Hey Road Trip! It is great to cross paths with another avionics guy, and F16s to boot... but wow F106's.. very nice. I joined in 82, and got out in 94, but then did some time in the USAR in 2004 and played in the sand for about 5 months before getting discharged. I later joined the USAFR...
