    blue_92_sierra's bagged ecsb build thread

Ive done it both ways. My current truck is on the stock fan with no shroud. been that way for a few years without any issues even in the middle of summer in bumper to bumper Los Angeles traffic. I like the e fans better just because it looks better, you dont have to worry about the upper...

    Shorting lower control arms

Its possible but the design of the arm doesn't make it an easy task to shorten. It would be easier to build narrowed tubular arms or order some from a shop.

    upper bag cups

The 21/2 are a little short but they'll work

axle shifted toward passenger side after flip install...

In theory it shouldnt matter. But these type of parts aren't built to precision standards. If a part is off by 1/4" no biggie. It would be hard to notice. Then you add a part for a different company that might be off 1/4" also you're looking at a 1/2" and that's noticeable.

    Plastic epoxy/customization.

Honestly I have no idea. My buddy owns a shop that repairs high end audio and visual equipment and he uses it there. I just ask him to bring some home lol.

4 link with Factory Gas Tank Location

I bent a tube to go around the diff housing and welded it to the axle tubes. One link from each side of that going to the center of the modified gas tank crossmember. Mounted those ends with a long bolt. 3 link would have worked the same and taken half of the time. This was in about 1999 so you...

4 link with Factory Gas Tank Location

I did one a long time ago and I'm sure that I don't have pictures. I could explain how it was designed. It worked good but was way more trouble than it was worth. 3link is the only way to go in my opinion.

    Plastic epoxy/customization.

I like to use thin abs plastic for that. Cut to fit the area, then with a little heat you can make the abs match the contour. Clean the plastic good then epoxy the piece of abs in. After that a very thin layer of body filler and your done.

    Nitrogen question

All you need is a bottle, and regulator. Link it into your tanks and your done. I do recomend that you make sure your compressors have good check valves. Nitrogen is a dry gas so it does not cause problems with anything else.

    Dash Upgrade

I will try to do a step by step of my install. Will be a week or so before I start. I still need to take the doors and glass off of the doner truck and cut off the roof. That way I can get rid of the rest of the truck and have some room to do the swap.

    Dash Upgrade

Damn between getting home when its dark and the ammount of black widows that call the truck home the is the hardest dash I have ever pulled.

tried my had at shortening my driveshaft

Thats a good way to do it. I have also made a jig using a set of skateboard trucks and wheels so I could roll the driveshaft without it moving. Worked really well.
