    Fuel pump

Thanks. I was wondering how to check for voltage on ground side. As Shcurkey stated this. Verify voltage on the ground wire with the pump RUNNING, as close to the pump as practical. Less is better, anything over 1 volt is a problem.

So if I get under voltage will this cause motor to burn out? Also how do I check the ground for voltage? Positive voltmeter wire to pump ground and the ground the negative wire on voltmeter to frame?

Ok it's been a while since I posted and I'm still dealing with the same issue as before bucking and bogging and narrowed it down to the fuel pump. Swapped tank with a known good one from brothers truck as the old one was contaminated. Anyway this is the 3rd fuel pump in the truck now. Delphi...

Surging and bucking when warmed up

Ok so I ran my truck on Tunerpro RT and at cold start it's showing it's in closed loop. It's also showing 4 knock counts, timing sweeping from 0-40 at idle, IAC position 66 at idle, O2 MV jumping around from 180 to 880, vacuum 20, MAP 28, TPS volt 0.68, AFR 7.3, BLM 134. Should the ECM be in...

Surging and bucking when warmed up

Ok so I did a fuel pressure test today and found a big issue. I found my new fuel filter was clogged with rust. Picture of pressure is before and after fuel filter. Also picture of filter and crap that came out of it. I changed the filter out and took it for a drive. It ran better and then bam...

Does not surge at idle. Only when you hit the gas in park or when driving after it warms up.

Surging and bucking when warmed up

Think I might have found my problem. Well at least a problem. Do you all think this is what's causing my issues? After overhaul of TBI and base gasket replacement truck would not start unless pedal was held. After getting it to stay running I took it for a drive and still did the same thing...

Surging and bucking when warmed up

Can't seem to find the service manual on the site. I went ahead and replaced the knock sensor and plug. Also replaced the O2 sensor just in case. No change. I sprayed some brake parts cleaner around TBI and got a slight change in idle so I pulled the TBI and I'm going to replace the base gasket...
