    SOLVED: Yep, was the wiring at the back of the distributor. One of the connectors was in but had been pulled out a little so wasn't obvious. As soon as I touched it and felt a click I felt extremely stupid. Fired right up. Thanks for the help!

    I didn't need to lift the engine when I pulled the pan. The only thing in the way was the slave cylinder, so I uninstalled that which caused the old (probably original) line to get a leak.
