I might do that. Always wanted a OBS truck. Just happen to get the k2500 burn at a good price. Love working on cars, but this thing is a beast. Everything takes a little more time and is a lot heavier. But I'll try and stay in touch. Still have the whole interior I want to fix....- Wheeler454

Just wanted to say Thanks Orpedcrow. You have been a lot of help. Been busy finishing my 97 burb. Almost have it back on the road. Just have a few minor things to adjust after the 6" lift kit. 97 k2500 7.4l with RC 6" lift
Sorry took so long to add to this. But being that the front drive shaft slips into the transfer case, would I not lose fluid if I remove this and drive it? I don't really need to 4 wheel drive right now, as the truck is not being built for off road, just for cruising around.- Wheeler454

Wanting to replace the factory hood spring with some hydrulic struts on my 97 suburban. Why is this so hard to find a kit to do this anywhere. I just want to get rid of the noisey crappy spring. 97 k2500 7.4l with RC 6" lift
Yeah that's what I was thinking. RC wanted me to cut out about 8" of the driver side exhaust, about 6" below manifold flange to be able to install driveshaft. As I am still doing some engine work, and didn't want a one side exhaust right now, I kinda skipped that step. It's not going to be...- Wheeler454

I'm sorry if this asked been asked before, I have been trying to search but have not found the answer I am looking for. I have a 97 k2500 suburban with the 7.4l BBC. I installed a RC 6" lift and had to temporarily remove front drive ahaft to clear the exhaust. Now looking for a complete exhaust...- Wheeler454

Oil Cooler and Oil filter relocate
The small skinny on on the right has two lines that go to the side of the block. The bigger one on the left has two lines that go to the transmission. I'm pretty sure I can follow a line and tell where it goes. But hey, who knows, maybe I'm going blind... but thanks for the help.- Wheeler454

You all have been great help. But yes the cooler lines go to the block, next to the pan. The are rusted and not able to be saved. Also, when I decide to put headers on the truck, it just makes more sense to not have the oil filter down there in the way. So I would like to relocate the filter and...- Wheeler454

0411 swap L29, now no idle
I haven't done anything yet. It's bone stock l29. The only thing I have done is change to the 0411 before I hadHP tuners. I had lextech do a pre tune to the 0411 before install. And I have never used HP ordone any tuning before. I am as about as new as they get.- Wheeler454

Sorry for the delay in response, I decided to dive into the front suspension of the truck first. So now there is nothing under the front end. But quick question, when you say the OS number, that would be what I should of got of the BB before the swap correct? If so this is were I might of jumped...- Wheeler454

Being that I am completely new to tuning, I'm getting a little lost with all the tables and which way to go. Going to do a lot more videos and more reading and take it slow. How do I go about getting the stock BB tune file, I might of screwed up, I went to the 0411 swap first. I didn't get anything off the original black box first. Did I screw up there? 0411 swapped 454 tuning tips
I have a 97 K2500 suburban, I just did the 0411 swap also. Bone stock, minus the K&N CAI. If you don't mind me asking, where did you get your base tune file? Mine starts and idles ok.
