So yup, someotherguy, PlayingWithTBI, sure was. B+ was on the wrong stud (Aux B) and essentially was running everything through it. With the AC out of commission, that 30A M-A-X-I apparently could handle it. Throw in draw from the compressor and that 30A said uh uh. She’s running continuously...- ShadeTreeMechanic

So I found this in wiring schematics. I think my battery positive is on the wrong stud. I’m going to move it to the lower stud towards the bottom of the box and see what happens. Fingers crossed.- ShadeTreeMechanic

I have a 97 K1500 5.7L that I inherited. Finally got around to charging the a/c. After charging, I started it up and ran the compressor (a/c on) and after about 6 minutes, the 30 amp AUX B **** fuse popped and truck shut off. Replaced fuse and restarted the truck.
