Beating the old, dead horse....GMT800 disk rear axle swap

So to make a long story short, the rear axle on the FrankenTruck is a little less than pleased at the moment: seems the previous owners ignored a substantial pinion seal leak, ran it low, and now it's on the way out. I *could* rebuild it...but there's a pick and pull 6.0 GMT800 2500HD near me...

1994.5 C3000 frankentruck

So about a year ago I bought two not very good trucks with the intent to make one decent one. One was a 1995 C3500 with a rusted out bed, rotten floor, smashed cab (thank you trees)....but beautiful frame, perfect 4L80E, and a strong running 350. The other was a 1994 C2500 with a decent cab...

Shift linkage positioning 4L60 to 4L80

So to make an exceptionally long story short I'm combining a '95 3500 and a '94 2500. In doing so I'm ending up with the PNP switch on the transmission for the '95 TBI harness and a column shift with the rod linkage for the '94 column and cab, not a cable shifter. I've already modified the...
