That might be the best decision financially. I think I'll contact Yukon and get some part quotes generated.

    99 Suburban c1500 gearing

I'll just stick with the 6 lug. I like the 17" ZL1 Tahoe wheels anyway. And they are priced well. Any links for the u-bolt conversion? I read on other post, a 6 lug disc brake fits the front bearing of a 1500. Can anyone else confirm?

    99 Suburban c1500 gearing

Confirmed 3 or 4 inch spindle lift and rear block. Rear sits lower & softer than i would like it to. Returns me to the question on the rear end. New shoes as the old Michelin lower rated tires where DOT 2014. These cooper E-load rated tires are quite, stiffer, aggressive and taller set up. Happy...

highway speeds, RPM only increased to about 2,200 to reach 70 mph. I am curious what kind of mileage it currently gets on the highway.

Going to have to look for those axle part numbers. That conversion would make it more ideal.

I would agree with the 4.10 ratio and a 33" tire. right. well, my driveway is on a slope. But that would have transferred more weight forward. I suppose it’s possible the previous owner may have adjusted the torsion bar. Front end is all OE. Bushings will have to be addressed soon.

    99 Suburban c1500 gearing

Unsure where to post this thread, my concern may be within the rear axle configuration. And so, I am asking for as much input on those who have had similar experience in correcting this. All input is appreciated. A little about my jewel, I recently acquired a 1999 C1500 Suburban with a 5.7...

    What's your mpg...

C3500 454C 4l80e 4.10 rear Since I've owned it (105k), I've rebuilt the trans + **** kit, replaced all the following; new lifters, injectors, ignition sys, cooling system. 245/75r16 4" spindle I've never seen more than 10mpg. Drove up and down from Cali to Montana last summer with camper, same...

    99 obs k1500 suburban lift....

Just acquired 5.7L 1999 C1500 Burb with about 114,000 on the odometer. One owner. I am very happy with it considering only the wheels and air filter where modified. But I am looking to do the same thing. I snagged a deal on Amazon for a Performance Accessory 3” lift. Looking around for a steel...

    Fitting 315/75/R16

Yes spindle. Spindle is correct. I am assuming my phone’s keyboard switched it up and I didn’t notice the spelling error.

    Fitting 315/75/R16

Forgot to mention I have a 4.5” spinal lift and 4” rear block. I’d like to do a 265/75R16 with these SF-1 wheels. I am afraid the offset of +28 will be too close.

    Fitting 315/75/R16

What is your OE wheel width and offset? My truck came with the 2500HD aluminum SF-1 wheels. They are 16x6.5+28. I don’t know what the original size of the original steelies were that came with my C3500. I have some slight rub with my LT245/75R16 that are currently installed. It’s just the sway...

Raised spindle caused loss of brakes

I guess I was being too specific when searching. And no one used that term, steer-stop. I did find those instructions Fabtech. Put that into consideration and grinder down driver side steer-stop bracket about a quarter inch. That pretty much did the job. Passenger side did not require any...

Raised spindle caused loss of brakes

Just seems bizarre you’d have to remove it. So I am assuming your gear box stops you from over turning and running into things? Thanks for the input!

Raised spindle caused loss of brakes

2000 C3500, installed 4.5” lift spindles. All was fine until after I tried making a turn in an intersection. After completing my turn, brakes where applied and pedal sunk to the floor. After straightening out, I applied the brakes and I had full braking force. Inspected front end, I learned...
