    Alrighty, got it done! Looks like the limited shaft works.mine was a bit of a #&@$ to get apart but managed to coax it into submission. I actually put the shaft in a vice, heated it up as instructed, and used a wrench around the lower piece of the shaft and hit it with the hammer. Saved...

    Ok, so the question I have is does it have to be an XJ? There are a couple Jeeps in the Pick N Pull around here but they are a Cherokee limited and one is a Wagoneer(same body style and such) The shafts look the same as in the pictures

    The lift is in! Still on 33s til I get some money together for 35s. I'm gonna probably see if I can grab the torsion bars/lower control arms from a 3/4 ton and put in the aftermarket torsion keys and level it out real nice.ill post some pics this weekend!

    Well just as an update for the thread I think I might have found a nv4500..still in a truck! Diesel already too.A '94 GMC 3500HD. So Ill have a donor truck for a bunch of the guts ill need to do the swap right! Gonna try and get the guy to come down on the price tho. And its still too warm here...

    I want to do this same swap into my truck actually.Well to be honest im considering getting a 3/4 or 1 ton set of diffs for my truck but easiest thing for now is to do the 14sf swap. I have a 90 Stepside reg cab 1500 heavy-half.Pretty sure all i will need is the conversion U-joint to mate it up...
