    Anyone looked into that evens waterless coolent? Ads say no erosion, alot higher boiling point, and better heat transfer. But the stuff is pricey. I may use on my next new build, with a cleaned/new system.

    Sounds like you have it all covered. On the subject of cnp, you can't run cnp on a 4x reluctior ( not enough resolution), you will have to upgrade to a minimum of a 24x. Efi connection has one that's not to expensive. You'll have to tare down the front of you motor to change it.

    The l31 express van os just uses coil 1 output for firing old style distributor. As far as the flexfuel, you need flexfuel os, sensor, and you will need to upsize your injectors by about 30% to run e85.

    I bought my 97 around 2010. It ran good for a year or so, then started the missfire issue. My last trip to the salvage yard, there was alot of them out there. If your not looking to rebuild, then I'd look for one with low miles.

    Pretty much, what I have been thinking. If anyone thinks this may be there problem. There ecu's on ebay for under $100 that are programed for your truck. If you don't want to upgrade to the 411.

    Just my 2¢, I have a 97 k2500 l31. And have had similar problems and still do. Have checked compression, leak down, replaced dis, cap, rotor, and injector spider. Have had it check by ase mechanic, with no problems found. Which leads me to the junk black box computer. I still have bank 1...
