Front axle seal replacement

Re a 88 K2500 4x4 auto trans with a 5.7L TBI, I'm looking for a procedure to replace the right front axle shaft seal. Haynes talks about removing the axle tube with all components and taking it to a dealer for seal and/or bearing replacement. Is it possible to undo the drive axle and push it out...

Air Cond. question

Thanks. Looking forward to hearing how you make out. On mine, anything more than a 1/4 turn seems to make the compressor stay on for a long time. I'm not sure if that will cause problems but it continues to push cold air. Let me know how yours works out. David

Air Cond. question

1988 GMC K2500 5.7L There is a pressure switch near the firewall that has a cap with two wires. Once removed it exposes the connector and also a set screw between the connectors. Can anyone help with an adjustment procedure that can be done without a pressure gauge. I'm trying to reduce the time...

Fuel injector identification

Should I replace them? Now that I know that this truck is running 5.0L injectors on a 5.7L should I replace them considering the cost - about $300 can including the gasket kit. This is very much a work truck - firewood , property maintenance - and a camper hauler. Your comments on this?

My 1988 GMC K2500 originally came with a 5.0L which was changed to a 5.7L by the previous owner. I understand that there is a difference in fuel injectors between these engines. Can anyone help with identifying the injectors that are in the throttle body now and with what I should be looking for...
