Best Distributor and ones to avoid
T1829 is the one I purchased, can’t really tell with parts store pic cause they all look alike, mine is machined from top to bottom and I paid like 125$. They could have changed suppliers who knows- Hudson Hawk 97

I’ve had nothing but bad luck with the plastic OEM distributors, mainly because of the humid climate in south Alabama and the gears being trash. I was skeptical about Advance Auto distributors but gave it a shot and haven’t had an issue since and it’s going on 3 years old, they are billet...- Hudson Hawk 97

Sounds logical, guess that’s the reason for the 906 heads instead of 062s. With a little port work and some valve lift/ duration with springs to match it may make a nice performer- Hudson Hawk 97

So according to GM the engines used in these heavy duty vans are different than a 5.7 in a 1500 truck. GM says they are 300 to 330 horse with HP crank shafts, rods, timing set(true roller). Has anyone else heard of this- Hudson Hawk 97

Which fuel pump?
One wire on the crank sensor tells the relay to turn on pump,also check your ground at the pump, have seen them loose connection inside the tank, pump is located at driver side front corner of the bed, best to unbolt the bed and lift one side to access, much easier than dropping the tank- Hudson Hawk 97
