First OBS build....am I doing it right?

This is a 30 yr old truck I've wanted since high school and I finally had it sold to me...in less than stellar shape but still the price was right. 5.7 all stock with power windows, locks. Everything works so I figure why mess with motor swaps and what nots, I'm gonna drive it until it "needs"...

First OBS I've owned and couldn't be more excited to have a group to rely on for help. I'm not new to performance and mechanical world as I've road raced in some capacity or another for years and my current street flagship is 800hp of 69' camaro. Bikes, cars and now my high school school...
