    88-94 Grey Bezel Color Match

I know this is old but when you say R&D ... are we to assume you work for a supplier and there's something coming?

    Shaking in OD Under Load

If it's not a violent shudder yet then shudder fix might work but it took me 3 tubes on one of the Jeeps to stop a mild shudder. Remember they don't fix a problem, just modify the fluid to mask the issue. I ended up having to replace the pan gasket and lost the fluid and upon refill the...

    Shaking in OD Under Load

If you're at the point of violent shaking shudder fix won't work. If you can force a downshift to third, do that. If the problem goes away, and everything else stays the same (speed, etc) it's your torque converter. I've got two Jeeps doing it right now, just waiting for an opportune time to...

    Ground Effect Wheel stance

I'm almost to the point of getting wheels for my build and in one heck of a conundrum. Am I the only one who doesn't like the tucked look? Especially with ground effects, I want a flush look, not 2-3 inches of overhang. Anyone have experience or luck with 18+ wheels in a 9.5+ width? Please share...

What stereo am I looking for?

They now make a double din center bezel (old tape player slot) under the double AC vents. I personally don't like it, looks too crowded and like a poorly designed afterthought (yeah I know that's exactly what it is) but the kits are all over eBay. My question is how in the world do you see/use...

    2/4 drop tire size

So did you ever get these wheels? I'm looking at a staggered 18x8 and 18x9.5 set of Ridler 650 and struggling to find a set of matching front/rear tires that will fit.

    Gen V 4.3 (LV3) in a 1993 Cheyenne

But $700 for a motor that's got 150k miles? 200k miles? And a hell of a lot of work to pull it all. Not trying to be a smartass or argumentative. But I don't see that as a positive scenario. Arguably a better end product, sure, but in an ideal world, if I can't do the one-off resomod LV3 4.3, I...

    Gen V 4.3 (LV3) in a 1993 Cheyenne

Not sure, that's why I'm asking if it's been done. To my point above also (where you "excuse me, what?") I keep being told I can buy a 'crate motor' for less than rebuilding my 4.3. It's a wives tail. Maybe at one time LS engines were cheap. Now there's a huge market for them and people are...

    Gen V 4.3 (LV3) in a 1993 Cheyenne

Yep, I realize I'm talking out of both sides of my mouth. Just curious. If I cannot keep the original 4.3, I was thinking a 4.3 'restomod' would be a pretty cool one-off. I hear you though.

    Gen V 4.3 (LV3) in a 1993 Cheyenne

Good insights, thanks. Cherish those moments and be glad you're able to ask. I lost him in less than a month and never got to go home to see him simply because I wasn't aware of how quickly it would happen. From diagnosis to passing away was less than a month.

    Gen V 4.3 (LV3) in a 1993 Cheyenne

My sentiments exactly. There's this wive's tail out there and I keep being told these things but when I look I take a step into the twilight zone apparently. Nothing close.

    Gen V 4.3 (LV3) in a 1993 Cheyenne

For arguments' sake, I'd disagree that one can acquire a full 5.3 with trans, harness and ECU for 'well under $1k'. (Feel free to prove me wrong though) From what I've seen, 150k mile 5.3's without anything else will run me $1k.

    Gen V 4.3 (LV3) in a 1993 Cheyenne

No worries ... It's a sentimental project. I 'had' an all original, still running (albeit tired) 1993 4.3L with 300k miles. I wanted to just refresh it, keeping it all original for sentimental reasons. Since douchebag Dwayne (that's the name on his birth certificate) screwed me, I still want to...

    Gen V 4.3 (LV3) in a 1993 Cheyenne

So ... years ago I posted on here and briefly talked about my situation. My dad bought a teal 1993 Cheyenne brand new back in 1993 and I was going to be acquiring it and restoring. Fast forward 2 years and a douchebag from Gulfport Mississippi named Dwayne Mahaffey has been paid over a thousand...

Stepside beds and dually fender repair. SMC not fiberglass..

Anybody Still Around on this post? I have roughly a 12" by 6" spot to "replace", not just repair. Where do I start? It is the far aft section from the step down on a 1993 stepside. I have the edges intact because there is a body kit/ ground affect mounted so I can keep the body lines, but I...
