The interior battle is underway....

So I have a week of leave and decided to dive into the dash and interior of our '98 Tahoe 2DR. I have to say, this was really poor planning since is is hotter than the surface of Mercury (well, is seems like it inside the Tahoe) but need to get it done... Pulled the headliner out to re-cover...

Defrost door not working- ways to access?

Figured out that the reason air was constantly blowing out of the defrost is a busted defrost door. Linkage and actuator motor fine but the door has come lose in the air box. I can wiggle the end of the actuator arm and hear the door flopping around in the air box. Can the door be accessed...

Diving into the dash ('98 Tahoe)- asking for suggestions...

I am in the planning stage for pulling the dash apart on our '98 Tahoe. The dash in in great shape but have really poor airflow and have to assume the AC evap is plugged up. Also, the AC is non-op but not sure what the issue is- I suspect the AC evap is a likely culprit for my freon leak but...

New guy looking at a '98 Tahoe

Stumbled onto this site (thankfully) as I am researching issues with the GMT400 trucks. In this case, I am looking at purchasing a 1998 Tahoe LS 2DR 4WD to fix up with my daughter. Looks like a good project for her to learn to take care of a vehicle and to gain pride in what she drives and...
