    1997 sierra Z71 55,000 miles

Think of it this way, if you looked at a 2007 with that mileage, you'd be paying about $10,000 more. It seems like a good deal when you put it that way. With that said though, it's still a 17 year old truck, and to only have 55,000 miles, it had to have done a lot of sitting.

    Truck runs horribly

How do I go about testing fuel pressure. Not sure if this matters, but I thought I'd throw it in. The truck fires right up, it doesn't usually hesitate to start.

    Truck runs horribly

A few other things. Distributor cap is zip tied because the screw holes are cracked and striped. The distributor seems tight enough, but I could be wrong. Is it possible that my timing is thrown off from the previous owner driving around with a loose cap? Any way to fix the distributor cap...

How bad is that to replace? How much should I expect to pay for the parts? Sent from my LG-VM696 using Tapatalk 2

    Truck runs horribly

I have a 1998 Chevy K1500 5.0 engine. I bought it in January, used it for a month, then I did some repairs and now it is finally road usable. The repairs included water pump, battery, flexplate, starter, tires, thermostat, front brakes, spark plugs, wires, and some other non mechanical stuff...

Proper way to get into 4x4

Here's how I do it.... Put truck in neutral, put transfer case in desired gear (4low, 4high, 2high). Put truck in drive, and drive. There's no reason to put the transfer case in neutral when switching in and out of 4x4.

1998 k1500, Just over 250k miles. Picture is from when I first got it in winter, it's pretty much exactly the same aside from a bunch of mechanical work I've done. (Brakes, water pump, tires, exhaust, spark plugs, flywheel, starter, and battery).
