    L92/t56 combo into my 1988 c1500

I am planning my l92 build since i just picked it up for 400 bucks. If everything checks out i plan on installing a new Cam, springs, headers and run the factory heads. My truck has 30 inch tires, 3.73 gears with a trutrac in the rear. What would be a good cam for a street truck. This truck...

Electrical nightmare due to jumper cables

I pull the entire engine harness off along with the bulkhead connector. A few knicked wires but nothing melted. I repaired everything and relumed the harness. I pull the bulkhead connector inside the cab and the fusebox and still nothing was melted or shorted. The alternator and battery were...

Electrical nightmare due to jumper cables

That is true. I just got done getting the battery tested. It shows proper volts vut the test failed. Ima get a longer ground to find another hole on the block to ground it to Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

Electrical nightmare due to jumper cables

I replaced all. Frame to cab , cab to block And i even added an additional strap (block to frame). The negative coming from the battery is bolted up to one of the intake manifold studs since the two holes on the block arnt threaded. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

Electrical nightmare due to jumper cables

We thought the starter was the issue but i swapped it out for a replacement one in my shed. Same issue. The solenoid clicks but the engine doesn turn. Meanwhile smaller ground wires get super hot. If i remove any of those ground wires i lose lights to my instrument cluster. Sent from my...

Electrical nightmare due to jumper cables

I pulled off the engine harness and peeled back every piece of luming off. Nothing melted. After some research and the fact that some smaller grounds are getting super hot. It may be a ground fault but i cant figure out where in the wiring positive current would flow into a ground. And for some...

Electrical nightmare due to jumper cables

I ended up pulling the harness off. Ima take the luming off and check continuity across every cable. Idk how ima check the harnes that is still inside the cab Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

Electrical nightmare due to jumper cables

I wonder if the person that put the jumper cables on the recieving end put the polarity wrong. I know i put my cables correctly on the truck that was jumping. I guess i need to pull the harness and all the luming off to see if anything is melted together? What if after the pulling the luming...

Electrical nightmare due to jumper cables

Yea we are completely confused. Whats more frustrating is that we dont even know where to start checking. I must note that the truck turned on fine prior to the spark. Not now. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

Electrical nightmare due to jumper cables

We had a few harnesses from a few years. The 91 plugged into everything normally. The major difference we noticed was the fuel pump harness was a tad different but it works. I must note thst the truck started off fine before the spark Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
