    CA does have their own, more expensive, catalytic convertors though. They check the numbers at every smog test in my experience.

    Thats a nice pic. you would think they would come tack welded like this on the shorty headers with carb stamps, since they're intended for smog compliance... but it's easy enough to do if the hose clamp becomes an issue. :)

    thanks for the picture... I wonder if this is the oem location? Because on my 90 that cheesy grounding strap is on a bolt further towards the center of the head. And based on feel it's a bolt that threads into the head, not a stud with a nut. Regardless, yours is a more accessible location...
