HeadLights & TailLights Suggestions ---- Best Quality & Brightest Full Time ParkLights

I have them in my 99 and bought a set for my excursion. I've learned that the brand doesn't really matter on Amazon, they're all generic and cheap enough, if one shorts out then just order another set and amazon will credit you for the bad one. That said, I've only had 1 failure and it was right...

HeadLights & TailLights Suggestions ---- Best Quality & Brightest Full Time ParkLights

Toss these in your stock housing and you'll have 3x the brightness for under $40. If your stock housings are crazed over badly then swap them as well with some aftermarket OEM style units also available for less than $80 on amazon. Truck will look new and stock with 3x the brightness for $120...

Yes, 94 was old interior and new grill. My dad's truck growing up was a '94 GMC with the new grill, but the old dash. That was a weird one too because it was a 1500 but had 8 lug axles, cab lights and the 6.5 TD.I'll see if I can dig up a picture of it. Sierra ext cab long bed 4x4 maroon with...

    Purchase Considerations

I agree with what Hipster said, you have to go look at it, until then anything in the ad or in an email should be trusted about as much as an IRS agent saying they just want to talk to you. I've seen trucks listed as needing work that were actually really decent and vehicles listed as "mint"...

    6.5 running rough and surging

check lift pump pressure too. A bad filter and a faulty lift pump would restrict fuel and that could be your issue. Open the fuel valve at the front of the engine and turn the key on, you should get a steady stream. The sound you are used to hearing is probably the lift pump running. without it...

Yeah, I wasn't expecting perfection for $400 out the door. At least they balanced them correctly, that's all that I could hope for from them really.

I hadn't thought of the driveshaft, I'll check that out this weekend. thank you for that suggestion. I will also pull apart the drums again and see if anything is leaking in there.

So, weird issue at the moment is when I come to a stop randomly the back tires will lock up in my gravel driveway. Only when it's cold and I'm moving it around the yard. After driving on the road it seems to be fine. Also, sometimes though it will "clunk" when letting off the brakes in traffic...

99 Tahoe 5.7 died on the way to work, crank no start, P0307, replaced crank sensor, no fix. Plz help.

Check fuel pressure at the engine with the key on, if you don't have 60+ then your pump is dead. Mine died in a similar fashion: About a mile before my house the engine started running really poorly, almost didn't make it home, once in the driveway I shut it off and it would not restart at all...

Lots of new parts but runs horrible

could be a filter then, but if all else fails it's not too terrible to drop the tank and check out what's going on in there. Not a fun job, but doable.

Lots of new parts but runs horrible

as stated above, battery ground cable is a must to check and clean up. I'd also look at the fuel filter/fuel tank. Clogged filter, bad pump, bad ground at the pump, or worse a rusty tank with bad gas in it can cause your hiccups.

It's back on the road again. Windshield frame is painted, not perfectly, but good enough from 5' away. The brand new exhaust system had a leak but now that's been fixed (new gasket after the cats). And while I was underneath it I decided to do the TCC Fixzall valve install. The converter would...

    Bad A/C ground

That definitely sounds like a ground issue to me. Start with the firewall ground at the battery and then check the ground at the block. I'm not sure where the ground for the ac is exactly, but it's easy enough to splice in a ground to the compressor right before the plug, that's what I did with...

I spend about 4hrs welding. I made 3-4 passes on each piece. Weld, grind, then weld in the low spots, grind, weld, grind. It took a while for sure. If it wasn't in such a visible spot I wouldn't have done that much to it. The top of the roof on my Excursion had 2 rust holes in it. I barely even...
