Lets talk about engine oil pan.

Could you maybe remove the engine mount bolts and raise the engine up with a floor jack or bottle jack under the oil pan with a 2X4 4X4 or whatever is available - just anything to keep from poking a hole in the pan. Then, what if you put some blocks between the mounts and the pedestals on the...

93 TBI 5.7 Pouring tons of raw fuel when key turned on

I couldnt get things done as fast as folks could type them lol.. I did end up unplugging the injectors just like people said to do.. One thing at a time. Please try to keep in mind this forum is not the only place I look for information from. I use other sites as well.

I disconnected them, no spray. Made the noise easy to find, it was the coil. Thank you :)

93 TBI 5.7 Pouring tons of raw fuel when key turned on

Well just so you know, I decided to start with just the coil since it was the source of the loud buzzing sound, and it was also vibrating. Oh and guess what? That fixed it. And you can take your rude self and go - dont need ya for anything since you seem to think your way is the only way. As it...

93 TBI 5.7 Pouring tons of raw fuel when key turned on

Had several people say coolant sensor. I changed the oil as it had a fair amount of fuel in it, changed the plugs as they were black and a bit wet, and put a coolant sensor in it. Started it up and it ran very nicely once the excess fuel cleared out, and idled smooth. Let it get good and warmed...

93 TBI 5.7 Pouring tons of raw fuel when key turned on

A few people have said try replacing the coolant sensor, so I'll try that 1st and see what it does. I should say here that when I say the injectors are "leaking" I mean to say they are SPRAYING at an enormous rate. They do a beautiful job with a nice cone shape spray, very fast pulse, etc - but...

93 TBI 5.7 Pouring tons of raw fuel when key turned on

Those injectors work real good. They are doing a great job of filling the whole engine with fuel. Nice cone shape spray. The leaking is the excess fuel running out the top and splashing out of the barrels. They are POURING the fuel to it, actually filling the throttle body and intake with fuel...

93 TBI 5.7 Pouring tons of raw fuel when key turned on

On 1st cold start, injectors give the correct little spray to help start engine. Let engine run a minute or so, not enough to completely warm up. Shut engine off. Turn key on but do not crank engine. Hear loud clicking noises from engine area and injectors pour tons of raw fuel out, fills up the...

    Key Off Battery Drain

This thing is making the light shine real bright, and makes big sparks when I scratch the cable across the battery post.. Just thought maybe there where some things that typically go wrong with this model truck that I could check into..
