Ugh… I need from the fuse block to PCM to BCM to trans to front differential.
Anyone seen one walking around?
@L31MaxExpress ok so I have a 1997 5.7 harness. I went through the harness per Lt1swap pinout instructions. Removing the front transfer case wiring. I don’t think the blue green harness I got last week from the pull a part has the same transfer case sub harness as the red blue which corresponded...
Cardinal rule of LS swaps. GET EVERYTHING! Get the harness, PCM, tach module, pedal if DBW that came with your motor. Get it all!
I’m in the process of working through my first swap. Even with limited auto electrical experience, the concept should be doable. I ended up with a freshened up 5.3...
Been a long time, @Raulfelix24. Did you ever get an answer? I was thinking that the 5.7 harness could take everything except the AC request wire. I’m been working on swapping my 1997 for a few months, but I’ve just recently gotten a blue/green harness and PCM.
I’m working an LS swap on my 1997. I know that’s a slightly dif generation than your 88-94, but here’s some pics of how I got my 0411 to fit the factory 95-99 black box PCM. It may be that you could hit up a local pull-a-part to scavenge a 95-99 bracket.
If you go this route, there is a lip...
I’m gonna go to a local pull-a-part btw Christmas and New Years with my multimeter to run some ohm tests on stock LS harnesses in the yard. I suppose it’s the only way to accurately determine where this ground goes.
Ok that’s good to know. I’m still learning as I go, so I need to find the correct pin to place it in the PCM. All I know at this point is that it definitely doesn’t go in Red#55.
Afternoon Gents! I hesitated posting this question so I could comb the interwebs for an answer. Stumped, here I am! I’m working through the LS swap on my 1997 ECSB. I traded my 355ci SCB for a rebuilt 5.3 with a reworked factory harness. It looks cleanly done, and even has a contact name and...
Not sure it solves the problem, but did y’all notice the injectors firing irregularly? Just an observation.
Great video @AllStrobedUp! It’s always good to have supporting video to go along with a post!
