well i was on a couple other forums and some people said it was better in som ways, it was free to download and seemed to be easy to get going, im not a computor wiz. Is tunerpro rt better? im trying to learn and get my truck idling like it used to!
Update, Im still battling this rough idle issue, I have returned the bosch 1300 scanner, I ended buying a moates cable and downloading winaldl so we can view live data at idle without any strange issues!
Since I have the proper setup to view data what do I need to look for, I dont have a good...
I played with the scanner more last night, I read a more detailed manual on bosches website, it does have a field service mode that mentioned crossing those two pins, it just caused the ses light to blink, sorta like when we read the codes with the paper clip.
I'm gonna check fuel pressure up at the throttle body, it was 11 psi before the filter , filter was changed about 3 years ago, could be clogged . Fuel pump was replaced about 3 or 4 years ago, I used a Delhi pump.
ok so i checked the settings on my scan tool, i could not find a way to remove that resisitor, i also could not find a physical resistor anywhere to remove!
OK, I have purchased a bosch 1300 scan tool, it does read obd1 live data, but the issue is it seems the scanner itself causes issues with the engine idle speed, it idles higher with the scan tool, at one point in neutral it was idling at 1800 rpm! Is this normal?
I did get the engine to idle...
Ok i will see what i can find online, is the main thing that it shows live sensor data? i want to make sure to get a tool that is going to help me!
If i can get set up with the proper scan tool what can i compare my readings to verify they are normal?
Ive read codes and replaced a part to...
Thank you for the reply, the only way i can read codes is the paper clip cross, then count the blinks of the ses light.
I would say the rough idle is worse in closed loop but i can see the engine having a little shake at idle when warming up!
I replaced the fuel filter about three years ago...
Other than removing the intake is their a way to check it and be sure, I'm trying to keep from throwing money at it with no results ! Could I run a camera down the throttle body ?
