Good job Sean, didn't look too tough. I tried to lift my bed from the back, but the boom on the hoist wasn't long enough. Had to do it from the side.

Passenger Side Head Water Port Problem

Thanks for the responses guys! I think I'm going to try the Loctite 545 red first. If that doesn't seal, then it looks like I'm going to have to drill and tap it for 1/2" NPT. I'll let ya'll know how it goes. Getting ready for a trip to Bowling Green, KY for the Buick GS Nationals next week, so...

Passenger Side Head Water Port Problem

So, I decided to put a mechanical temperature gauge in my 1991 C1500 with the TBI 5.7. I wanted to keep the stock temperature gauge functional, so I am using the 3/8 NPT port in the passenger side head, that was plugged. I bought the square socket to get it out and it rounded out the square...

    1999 Gmc seats to a 1996 Suburban K1500

Isn't the 99 Suburban/Tahoe the GMT800 body style? I had a 2004 and I always thought the 99 was the same... Edited: Never mind, I don't know what I was thinking!

    Front Splash Shield

I wish I would have read this thread before I went to the treasure yard. The inner fender I got had one on it, so I spent about 30-minutes looking at all the GMT400 trucks to see if any had the driver side one! My truck did not come with that splash shield in front of the passenger side wheel...

    Rear Speakers

If the panel clips are rotted out, that would be a blessing... I found a bunch still stuck in trucks at the local treasure yard to replace the ones I bent to hell.

    New speakers

Yeah, they should be 4x6s. It's not too horrible to replace them in the rear. Getting those ******* clips out of the slots, that are around the back window is the worst part. Just take your time and think it through. And brute force will break the tabs off of the plastic panels. It was well...

    Any solutions

Can you loosen all of the other bolts associated with the mount, quite a bit? Then put the stubborn on in and tighten it all down after? Sounds simple, but that is what I would try first... Edit: Oh, you mean the control arm bolt?

    1991 C1500 in Florida

Thanks Sean! I learned from someone on V8BUICK to try to do something with a project every day, even if it's a little thing. Not that I can make that happen all the time, but it does keep me pretty motivated. Plus, I wanna drive it as much as possible!

    1991 C1500 in Florida

Thank you! Fortunately, here in Florida, the trucks are pretty faded out, but rust isn't a huge issue underneath. Most of the trucks I found out there are in better shape than a lot I've seen on the road!

    1991 C1500 in Florida

In order to fix the damn water jacket plug in the head, I had to remove the inner fender. I knew it wasn't in the greatest shape, when I bought the truck. Has a good sized hole in it from a leaking battery years ago. So I decided that since my favorite EZ Pull treasure yard was open today, that...
