    we have pulled about 8500lb for 5 hours before in a 92 k2500. and 10k of hay with a gooseneck a couple times. truck has new engine with 20k and a trans with 10k. it has a trans cooler and better rad too.

    when my pop wanted me to learn to weld he got me a 110v fcaw welder and a 30 dollar yeswelder helmet. it worked for learning but was absolutely awful for anything more than that.

    if your wanna do this you will probably be better off finding a shop to do this then trying yourself. i dont know if a shop would do this for a less than what you paid for your truck with everything involved in this though.
