FNG With Questions

I should have said, way to identify towing package on a 1500 truck. I won't be towing often a few times a yr to the track (which is in NJ), and short local trips. Aside from towing the truck's main job will be as a solid, dependable, daily. Which is why I'm leaning more towards a 1500.

So If the truck has the trailer harness it has the towing package? Does this also mean it has the aux. tranny cooler, the 3.73s, etc? What exactly did the towing package for this generation GM truck (specifically 96-99) include?
