    Long tubes

    That is not true. I have a set of Patriot long tube headers on my son's 1997 K1500. Everything works just fine and the headers were made for the truck. It took a creative welder to do the exhaust but I even have cat's installed, crossover and dual mufflers. I had it all done last month.

    Well, if you didn't hit anything, I am going to guess broken U bolts. Easy fix if you have a jack and jack stands or better yet a lift.
