Torque converter bolts
the method I have used for yeas is to use a good boxed end by that I mean a quality one.place on the bolt head and using a finger to hold flush to bolt use hammer and whack the handle of wrench.whack from left to right.looking from bell housing to front of truck- 54vicky

after rereading the replies I realize that Churkey described my problem to a T in his Jan.17 message at the time I did not want to hear what I thought was bullshit about using a scanner to solve the problem.I now realize if I had done so I would have saved time and aggravation to say nothing...- 54vicky

sounds very similar to the problem I had same thing just died barely crank and god awful noise.if when they put distributor back in if they did not use a scanner (I hate to admit it)to set the CMP/CKR correlation it can cause a crossfire condition that can do what yours is doing.not saying that...- 54vicky

appreciate the replies I had read a couple of bad reviews on the bosch but no real reason I had one replaced a couple of months ago it needs replacing again not sure of make a friend with a shop put it in due to drowning it with anti freeze changing a head.now I think the flooding issue from...- 54vicky

thanks that is what pissed me off with the scanner comments they are not the answer at times.plain old school thinking is the best at times time consuming but brings results.even though mine showed no signs of a misfire- 54vicky

Neutral saftey switch bypass
if you have a test light test for power on (c)with key on then with key off.if power with on then jump (c)to (e) e should be starter solenoid and (c) should be the power.good luck.I am sure someone will correct me if wrong.just touch the two do not join the key on should allow the ignition to...- 54vicky
